The future of Jarno Trulli

11 Nov

It was September 11th 2011 when Team Lotus announced the extension of the contract of Jarno Trulli through the 2012 season. The speculation about the extension begun earlier within the year with his manager confirming to GoCar.gr that his client has "sealed the deal for 2012" in the summer time. Fast forward and in the last GP’s many paddock sources suggested that his future is in doubt even with the announcement from the team.

The Abu Dhabi paddock was no exception to that with the whispers coming suggesting that Jarno Trulli will have his last race with the team in Brazil. So we will have another interesting situation there on who might get the empty seat. Watch this space.

Based on TF’s relationship with BE and the US having at least one race in the not to distant future I’ll guess Rossi, but would not rule out Grosjean.

I think that Charles Pic will replace him, Virgin rumour was just there to make buzz in my opinon.

Tony Fernandes is a customer of Arnaud Lagardère for planes between airbus and Air Asia.

Strangely the name of Charles Pic was not publically released by the team for rookie test.

If Charles drive for Team Lotus, Total may become a sponsor of Team Lotus.

Twitter account of Charles Pic,follows Tony Fernandes…..

If you take in consideration the story I write earlier on http://f1enigma.wordpress.com/2011/11/07/the-scenario-for-the-str-drivers-of-2012/ then this might be another potential spot for a RB driver.
